Overview of Georgia Soque River
In the north Georgia mountains flows a river that is home to one of the finest Rainbow and Brown trout fisheries in the southeast. Called the “trout fisherman’s paradise” by Garden and Gun, the Soque River will test your fly fishing skills as you battle it out with the monster trout. This lodge has preserved a private section of river just under four miles long that runs through their 650 acres. You will benefit from the results of this intense preservation: a thriving trout ecosystem.
Beyond the amazing fishing, you will enjoy the incredible scenery around you. The Georgia mountains will surround you with their green pines, incredible fall colors as the trees turn, and starry nights.
The rustic luxury lodge will have you feeling right at home with its comfortable furnishing which pairs elegant décor with the easy feeling every outdoorsman wants. Sit by the fire in the main living room or go outdoors to the campfire. Every evening cocktails and appetizers are served on the deck at sunset as you overlook the mountains and headwater streams of the river.
Get your waders ready and grab your rod or borrow a lodge rod because you don’t want to miss a fishing opportunity at this lodge!
Fishing
Season: October 1 – May 31
Spend your mornings and afternoons in search of the wily, big trout. With almost four miles of private river to fish, you could spend two full days in this fishery without overlapping your fishing area. All fishing is catch-and-release fly fishing for rainbow trout and is fully guided.
Your guides are highly trained and ready to help you succeed. Their expertise will set you up for the greatest chance of success as you explore the river and attempt to reel in two-foot trout.
If you need gear, you can rent it at the lodge.
Hunting
While it is limited, there are some hunting opportunities for wild boar here. Please contact us for more information on availability.
