We loved our time at this lodge! The quail hunting put our shooting skills to the test and the deer hunting area showed up how tough a high-fenced hunt can really be. We could tell quickly that the attention to detail that this lodge prides themselves on has created an incredible experience from top to bottom – from the food you eat to the hunt you embark on.

During our quail hunt we hunted over the best dogs we have ever had the pleasure of teaming up with. They were patient to let us set up and prepare to shoot before flushing, very sweet and well-behaved, and a wonder to watch as they responded to commands.

The people here are delightful. They have been staples at this lodge for a 10+ years. The lodge staff is attentive and joyfully takes care of your every need. The hunting and grounds staff are incredibly knowledgeable in their fields and patient in their teaching styles. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and learning from their wealth of knowledge.

Lake Guntersville holds the esteemed title of being the second-best bass lake in the country. The lodge can arrange a local guide for exceptional fishing experiences, either as an add-on to any trip or as a standalone excursion during the hunting off-season. There are also opportunities for bass fishing in the on-property lakes that are very well stocked and provide exciting fishing adventures.

BIRD HUNTING:

Spanning 2,000 (1,400?) acres in Browns Valley and managed for quality game bird cover, this location offers traditional bobwhite quail hunting in a plantation-style setting across diverse terrain. Grain Sorghum, Millet, Egyptian Wheat, Partridge Pea, and winter greens have been strategically planted to bolster the quail population. Additionally, pheasant can be included for a mixed bag hunt.

Guides are professional and passionate outdoorsmen with a background in quail hunting. Each guide oversees 5-8 incredibly well-trained dogs from their kennels, which include Pointers, Setters, and Brittany’s along with great Cocker Spaniel flushing dogs. Transportation is provided in specially modified jeeps tailored for hunters, typically accommodating 2 hunters per jeep, with the option for 3 if necessary.

DEER HUNTING:

Deer hunting entails hunting in a 700-acre trophy-managed, high-fence preserve specializing in natural game and wildlife management. The goal is to fulfill each hunter’s dream by producing quality trophy whitetail and offering the ultimate hunting experience. Hunts are conducted on a fully guided 1×1 basis, utilizing various methods such as comfortable 9×5 insulated shooting house, ladder stand, spot & stalk, or rattling. Ensuring hunters get a chance at their dream buck is the top priority.

The focus is on making a deer hunter’s dream come true by producing large deer and offering the ultimate hunting experience, often resulting in clients harvesting the largest deer of their lives. A supplemental feeding plan, along with warm and cool season food plots, aids in antler development and is believed to contribute to success.

Whether you prefer stand hunting, stalking, or rattling for a trophy buck, all options are available on the property. The shooting houses, accommodating four people comfortably, are ideal for hunting and are of superior quality. All hunts are conducted on a 1×1 guided basis.

There are two rut times on the property, in November and January, with rifle, muzzleloader, bow, and crossbow hunting permitted. If a deer is harvested early in the hunt, hunters have the option to continue hunting for cull bucks (guides choice) or add on a quail hunt without prior notice. Fishing is also available, though weather conditions may be cold.

Spanning a robust 14,000 square feet, this luxury log lodge boasts soaring vaulted ceilings and is decorated with warm accents throughout its rugged interiors. From the expansive back porch you can take in the best view Alabama has to offer – Lake Guntersville and its surrounding forest stretching out in front of you as far as the eye can see.

Inside, guests are greeted by a wealth of amenities tailored for the discerning gentleman, including a pool table, poker/card room, and several grand fireplaces inside and outside. The lodge comprises eight commanding bedrooms, each boasting its own private bathroom. Among these, three feature king-size beds, three offer two double beds, and two bunk bedrooms comfortably accommodate 7 and 8 guests respectively, with one of them also featuring a king-size bed as well.

By Fall 2024 enjoy the 5 stand shooting off the deck of the lodge and the beautiful pool they are building to help you relax and unwind.

For seamless connectivity, the lodge is outfitted with a Verizon wireless “Hot spot,” ensuring uninterrupted communication in the wild. Additionally, the main room doubles as a robust space suitable for meetings, equipped with all the essentials for impactful PowerPoint presentations. The lodge is large enough to have many sitting areas both inside and out for privacy but is small enough that large groups will not lose track of one another.

Quail: flexible length of hunt. Typical full day hunt w/ overnight stay includes arrival and departure lunch but flexible if needed.

Deer: Flexible schedule; hunt is 3 days/ 2 nights (6 sits)

The lodge is located just a few minutes away from Guntersville, AL. It is a 45min drive from Huntsville, AL and a 1 hour and 15 min drive from Birmingham, AL.

Private Planes: Albertville Regional Airport (8AO – 6,100′): 15 miles from the lodge and the lodge will pick you up.

All of the activities offered here are outdoor focused. Hunting, fishing, hiking trails, rifle range, and 5-stand are your main options for what to do while at the lodge. Other options include playing pool, big screen TV’s and sitting on the porch to take in the view.
