This trip reinforced many long held beliefs about the value of hunting and the people all over the world that have chosen hunting as their profession. In addition to the funding, jobs and anti-poaching efforts that come with legal, regulated conservation hunting; my quick math says we provided on the order of 22k pounds of meat for the hunting teams, families and villages surrounding the hunting concession. “I decided to take several of my close friends and family on a one week fishing trip to Alaska. The party consisted of (16) people counting myself. After much research, we decided to go with Antlers and Anglers Worldwide headed up by Kevin Slaughter. We talked, Emailed and faxed for 3 weeks and Kevin was able to make this wonderful trip happen.
This was a super hard trip to put together.
Alaska had an unusual late, cold wet spring but we got everything in…. Even though Kevin was in Africa on another trip, we stayed in contact by world satellite phones to make sure everything went as well as it could under very difficult weather conditions
