Namibia photo safaris, considered by many to be one of the safest countries in Africa, is a sparsely populated vast land. This desert country offers a variety of unique destinations for the avid adventurer. Your trip Namibia photo safari might include hot air balloon rides over the desert, visits to the famous Himba people (known as the red people), Etosha Game Park, the Skeleton Coast, Dune surfing, desert creatures tours, Dolphin cruises, private game reserves and more.
All Namibia photo safari itineraries are customized for your pleasure and we can assure rarely do two itineraries look alike. Since the country is so vast, about the size of Texas, light aircraft is often used as a means of transfer from one location to the next. When we design your African safari you can expect the following: We will listen as you share your vision of what your African Safari Experience should look like. We then begin designing your safari with lodge and destination selection, activities selection, flights, meet & greet services, travel insurance, clothing & equipment list, countdown to Africa (this assist you with detail preparation leading up to trip time), detailed pricing with all included/not included items, and more.
As a full service African Safari specialists, we have visited over 80+ safari lodges in Africa over the last 30 years. We selected only a handful of those for you that have met our strenuous criteria. Combination big game hunting, bird hunting, photo safari, Cape Town and Victoria Falls safaris are our specialty.

Lodging
While you travel Namibia, you might choose from tents, chalets, luxury tents, river boats to over the top luxury lodges. As we visit with you about your interests, we will design a one of a kind safari for you.
Length of Stay / Itinerary
All of our photo safaris are custom built for our clients. We suggest a minimum of 10 days on the safari. Below, you will find a sample itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia where your private guide will greet you. Depart from Eros Airport in Windhoek on a private air charter – Enjoy the scenic flight over the south of Namibia – Arrive at the Lodge and relax before lunch – Afternoon Nature drive in the spectacular Namib Rand Nature Reserve – End the day with a spectacular desert sun downer – After dinner the Wolwedans rangers offer a star gazing experience not to be missed.
Day 2: Spend the day exploring the pristine Namib Rand Nature Reserve on a morning and afternoon nature drive – Take some time to relax between activities and take in the views from your room perched on the Namib sand dunes.
Day 3: An early morning flight takes you to Sesriem landing strip where a private open top vehicle will meet you for an excursion to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, home to some of the highest sand dunes on earth – Pick-nick brunch will be served under a camelthorn tree amongst the sand dunes before returning to the landing strip for your flight to Swakopmund – En-route enjoy a bird’s eye view of some of the most dramatic scenery on earth as we fly over the Sossusvlei area and the Skeleton Coast – Arrive in Swakopmund and take a ride into the sand dunes on quad bikes, no previous experience required – Have dinner at one of the excellent restaurants in Swakopmund – Overnight in Swakopmund at your private luxury beach home.
Day 4: Dolphin Cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon (world heritage site for marine life) – View several species of sea birds, dolphins, cape fur seals and if you’re lucky hump back whales, southern right whales and orca’s – End the cruise with seafood brunch served on the boat with champagne – Explore the town, do some shopping or barter for something special at the wood carvers market – Have dinner at one of the excellent restaurants in Swakopmund – Overnight in Swakopmund at your private luxury beach home.
Day 5: The air charter will hug the coastline and fly over the Skeleton Coast Park – En-route view some of the many shipwrecks stranded on the coast – Enjoy lunch before taking off on the afternoon activity to explore the Huab River Valley on a nature drive – Possible sightings may include the desert adapted elephants as well as various other plains game species – Enjoy a sunset cocktail before returning to the luxury lodge.
Day 6: Explore the breathtaking scenery of Damaraland on a morning nature drive, possible wildlife sightings may include desert elephant, black rhino, leopard, zebra, giraffe, oryx, springbok and ostrich – Return to the lodge for lunch before taking a short drive to view some of the best examples of ancient rock art in Namibia at Twyfelfontein – Return to the Lodge and take some time to relax before dinner.
Day 7 – 8: Private air charter to Etosha National Park – Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch overlooking the waterhole – Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Etosha National Park – Possible sightings include elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and various other plains game species. Afternoon game drive and overnight in your luxury suite. Full day in Etosha the next morning.
Day 9: Again, your private charter flight will fly over the famed Okavango Delta to your riverboat for two nights of game viewing by land and water.
Day 10: Enjoy land and water safaris for elephant, cape buffalo, hippo, cats and more.
Day 11: Cross the border today to the city of Victoria Falls to see the mighty Zambezi River flow over Victoria Falls. Take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi for the most magnificent sunset in the world. Overnight at a luxury hotel.
Day 12: Begin travels home or take advantage of some the activities in Victoria Falls such as elephant encounters, whitewater rafting and fantastic souvenir shopping at the Elephant Walk in the heart of town.
Day 13: Begin travels home or continue to the Okavango Delta for more game viewing by water and land.

If your trip is more than 90 days out from date of departure, a 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your reservation and must be received within 10 days of booking to confirm your dates. All trips must be paid in full at least 90 days prior to the departure date. If your trip date is within 90 days, FULL payment for the trip is required. All payments to Antlers & Anglers Worldwide, LLC are non-refundable. Should you need to reschedule or cancel your trip, we will do everything in our power to assist you in finding a suitable substitute or transferring your dates per the lodge/providers/government requirements.
