Overview of Oklahoma Trophy Elk & Red Stag
If you’ve dreamed of hunting giant elk and red stag without leaving the States, this high-end estate hunt delivers. Think wide-open views set on 6,000 acres of private land with varying terrain, world-class bulls and stags, attentive guides, chef-driven meals, and a refined lodge experience—purpose-built for serious trophy hunters and corporate groups alike. This is the kind of hunt that sticks with you—so good you’ll start planning your return before your first trophy is even caped. An experience of a lifetime you’ll want to repeat, season after season.
This is the perfect location for those that just don’t have time to spend a week or more in the mountains repeatedly in search of that elusive elk or those that don’t have time or desire to fly overseas to hunt red stag in New Zealand, Europe or Argentina. You are looking for a high success hunt in a large area with gently rolling hills, this is the location for you.
Your expert staff handles detail, so you can stay locked on the hunt and time with friends and family. Bring a client or your best buddy—this place hits the mark for milestone hunts and annual traditions alike.
Our Experience at This Lodge
From wheels down, we knew we were in good hands. The crew met us at the door, took us to sight in rifles, and had answers ready before we could ask. They were professional but easy—the kind of team you actually enjoy spending time with. Meals hit that sweet spot: chef-driven, hearty, and earned during the hunt. We crashed on the couches to catch the game, traded stories at the table, and closed the night by the fire—the way a hunt is meant to feel.
In the field, we watched the guides work. They read red stag and elk like a playbook—wind, pockets, travel corridors—then made clean, decisive calls. We were lead every step of the way, easing through a bedding area, skirting a meadow edge, and slipping into a timbered draw where everything finally lined up. Every day felt dialed in: disciplined plans, efficient moves, and high-percentage shot opportunities—confidence for a first-timer, and the right kind of challenge for a veteran.
Fishing
The ranch is developing a private bass and bream fishery that’s already stocked and building toward prime action. Expect a clear, well-managed pond with structure, forage, and habitat designed for fast growth and frequent bites—perfect for a quick cast between hunts or a laid-back afternoon with clients and family. As the fishery matures over the next year or two, look for catch-and-release opportunities for quality largemouth, with easy bank access and small-craft options for fly or conventional tackle. It’s a relaxed, high-success add-on that rounds out the big-game experience.
Hunting
Rocky Mountain Elk: Hunt these elusive giants by spot and stalk with your expert guide. If you choose to hunt during the bugle, your guide will call elk in as close as possible. During the regular season, you and your guide will take off on side by sides, looking for elk signs and finding hillsides for glassing. Once the trophy is located, take off on foot with the correct wind direction and stalk to within shooting distance. Should you have physical restrictions, state of the art one way glass blinds are scattered around the area.
Red Stag: Unlike Elk, Red Stag does not come to a call during the Roaring season. But, the roar gives away their position so that hunter and guide can find the best path to set up for an amazing trophy shot.
Type of hunt: Bow, rifle, or muzzleloader options available.
Prime rut windows follow standard North American patterns for elk and red deer in managed settings – usually in the late September / early October time range.
Style & Terrain: Rolling Oklahoma ranch country with well-managed habitat designed to produce top-end bulls/stags and consistent shot opportunities. A mix of beautiful rolling hills, steep river beds, rolling grasslands, and valleys. Expect professional guiding, pre-scouted patterns, and a trophy-first approach appropriate for both first-timers and seasoned hunters.
Why it’s special: It’s a purpose-built, luxury big-game experience in the U.S.—pairing giant trophies typically associated with international travel with American convenience and hospitality.
Guide Ratio & Pace: 1×1 or 2×1 guiding based on your group. The pace is determined by you: plenty of breaks, clear shot selection coaching, and flexibility for youth hunters or first-timers without compromising trophy potential.
Field Care: Your guide handles caping, quartering, and cold storage. They will coordinate taxidermy and meat processing per your preference, plus provide shipping options and documentation as needed.
Timing & Rut Windows: The property hunts well throughout the season, with classic rut activity offering vocalization, bugling/roaring, and heightened daylight movement. We’ll recommend dates based on your weapon choice, desired experience (rut vs. post-rut patterning), and schedule.
Lodging
Settle into a modern, upscale setting where private suites, comfortable gathering spaces, and top-tier dining are part of the hunt—not an afterthought. Evenings center around great food, trophy talk, and tomorrow’s game plan; mornings start with simple hot breakfasts and a smooth launch to the field.
Main Lodge: Five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms anchor the primary lodge, complemented by a central seating area with large-screen TV, dining room, open-style kitchen, bar, mud-room, and outdoor seating for fireside stories under the stars.
Second Lodge: A separate, entertainment-forward space offers two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a sauna, bar, large-screen TV, pool table, and shuffleboard—ideal for unwinding or hosting clients. A workout room and massage room are coming soon to round out recovery between hunts.
