Quebec Elk & Red Stag Hunt
NEW BOW AND CROSSBOW WORLD RECORDS TAKEN AT THIS LODGE! Experience a Trophy Elk or Red Stag hunt in these prestigious mountains. The terrain at the estate is comprised of colorful hardwoods, large granite boulders, small sunlight meadows and multiple creeks feeding into several freshwater ponds and lakes. The Lodge is centered within this wondrous forested locale.
Renowned around the world for their antler genetic research, this estate is the first location to produce the “Double 500,” where both an elk and stag score over 500 SCI points. This has been achieved by the estate’s superior genetics, selective breeding, proper culling of inferior animals and by restricting the number of hunts each year.
The Manitoban subspecies of elk is the largest of all the subspecies and can exceed 1200 pounds. They are known for their dark features, long tines, heavy beam mass and exceptional tops. Each year bulls are taken that score well into the top of the record book. The European Red Stag found here are undoubtedly some of the highest quality trophies found anywhere in North America. If you are looking for real trophy elk and/or red stag, look no further! Your success and satisfaction is their number one goal.
Add a little variety to your trip by visiting Mt. Tremblant resort town located about an hour from the lodge. There you will find numerous activities and a quaint ski village.

Hunting season is mid-August – November. The rut or bugling season is from about the end of August to early October, with the best bugling normally during the first three weeks or so. A typical hunt at the estate will cover three day.
All hunts are 1X1 guided and the hunter may choose between using a bow, rifle or muzzleloader. Almost all the hunts are “spot & stalk” style hunts but they can put up pop-up tent blinds if you would prefer that option. There are a few elevated box blinds as well. If by chance you harvest your animal early in the hunt, your excursion is by no means over. Guests can continue going into the preserves stalking more animals, fishing and taking more video footage for personal use.
Fallow deer and bison are also available on the estate!
In 2013, the Estate went through a complete makeover. The main lodge received a face-lift, with room dressings, upgraded amenities and the creation of a formal dining room. Further, a nearly 1,000 square foot great room, with cathedral ceilings was built for our guests, with oversized fireplace, HDTV, slate bar and small business center. A traditional indoor fireplace as well as “African-style” outdoor fire pit allow guests two new areas to exchange stories, enjoy an after dinner cordial and unwind following the days activities.
The lodge is centrally located amongst the preserves is a fully serviced guest lodge. All bedroom suites have their own private bathrooms giving privacy and allowing for any non-hunting guests to accompany you on your stay. There are four suites. One suite has a king sized bed and a pullout, one has a queen and a pullout, one has a queen and the fourth suite has 2 double beds. If your group is large, they do have two overflow owners cabins which share a bath.
The dining offered to all guests are of the same rich, epicurean style. Due to our early departure for the woods, continental breakfast seems to provide the best predawn meal. Upon return from the morning chase, a hearty and savory brunch awaits. A light lunch and snacks are served as a precursor the afternoon hunt.
Following a full day of adventure, the dinner selections are sure to satisfy the most discerning palate. The multi-course, culinary feasts include a myriad of locale fare and often embrace the spoils of the day, with venison served in a range of dishes. All beverages are included, with top-shelf liquor, a selection of domestic and foreign beers, as well as international wine selections.
Just thirty minutes to the North of the estate is Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort & Village. This is one of Canada’s most boutique areas, known for its style, diverse culture and trendy atmosphere. Hunt late in the season and enjoy the best of both world’s…skiing and hunting combined! Early in the season enjoy all that the beautiful resort and village have to offer in the fall and be back home in time for a delicious dinner.
Other non-hunting activities include: Helicopter flight seeing, Ferrari track, spa treatments, trout fishing, skiiing (Nov-Jan), Water Skiiing (May-Sept.), wine tasting, golf, shopping and casino.

While we do everything in our power to protect our clients from travel problems, we cannot prevent illness, natural disasters, wars, deaths, lodge closings and more; we live in uncertain times! The only way to protect yourself and your investment is through travel insurance. Travel insurance can provide medical coverage, cancellation due to natural disaster, illness, death in the family, lodge closings and other unknowns; in this day and time, anything is possible. Lodges count on you to protect your investment as they cannot refund your payments due to the nature of the product they offer.
Finally, travel insurance is time-sensitive and must be purchased within a certain number of days of your deposit to cover preexisting conditions, lodge closings and other various issues. It is still available later but the benefits may be more limited.
Both companies offer evacuation insurance in addition to their travel insurance but Ripcord has more thorough coverage in this area.
The Ripcord membership and travel Insurance provides the highest levels of medical, security, evacuation and rescue services in the industry combined with travel insurance:
- Remote rescue services from point of injury or illness
- Medical evacuations to the member’s home hospital of choice
- The best evacuation and rescue triggers that include rescues for medical conditions that will result in permanent injury in addition to just requiring hospitalization
- Security extraction services for geopolitical events and natural disasters
- Involuntary detention resolution services for members who are held against their will
- Consulting services from special operations veterans, paramedics, nurses, and physicians
- Travel insurance
