The habitat surrounding the river bottom is the ideal situation for waterfowl traveling down the Central flyway.  With the combination of agricultural land bordering the river system and its tributaries, the fluctuations of water levels all most always assure the ducks and geese will have access to current food sources.  In addition the lodge is located adjacent to large cattle feeding operations which are a natural attraction for passing waterfowl which is why late season hunting is still strong.

Beginning on a chilly fall or winter morning, you’ll soon learn that Nebraska waterfowl hunting is exceptional here. One of the top-five waterfowling destinations in the country, the North Platte River offers wingshooting at its finest. Home to extraordinary numbers of ducks and geese, the Central Flyway is the pinnacle of professionally guided duck hunting and Canada geese hunting.

The three miles of private, controlled river bottom on both sides of the North Platte combine with 1,500 acres of adjacent crop land, creeks and sloughs to make the this lodge a Nebraska duck hunting and Nebraska goose hunting paradise each fall through early February.

Positioned in our heated, state-of-the-art pit blinds, guests enjoy a hot breakfast while hunting in comfort, benefiting from shooting tips and decoy spread strategies provided by our professional guides, who are skilled at calling waterfowl.

Since waterfowl hunting in the afternoons is illegal in Nebraska, you will enjoy some of the finest Pheasant and Chukar hunting in the Midwest.

Big Game Hunting:

Whitetail – With three miles of the lodge wooded river bottom, thick cover, native grasses, open range, and well managed food plots account for the impressive antler mass and heavy bodies of the whitetail deer. The whitetail deer hunts are archery, rifle or muzzleloader, using either our two-seater tree stands or ground blinds. Your all-inclusive deer hunting trip will surely be one to remember.

Turkey – Frequenting the natural habitat is a population of Merriam turkeys. Very large in size, the birds often travel in groups of 50 or more and can be bagged by shotgun or archery hunting, depending on your preference. Regardless if you hunt on our 1,500 acres in the spring or fall you can choose to take up a position amongst the trees and brush, belly crawl through the native grasses or have your guide set decoys. Either way, they provide incredible guided turkey hunts.



Built in the 1960’s as a purebred cattle sale barn, the family appreciated the historical significance of the building and saw an opportunity for an excellent hunting Lodge. The massive arched beams and original auction block give the space unique charm.

Here you can catch up on the latest ball game, financial reports or news programs watching the flat screen TVs. Table tennis, pool or a friendly poker game are other ways to kick back. Venture outside to the fire pit, staying warm as you gaze up at the stars.

Unwind with a massage or soothing sauna, warm yourself at the indoor campfire or pull up a stool at the bar to recount the day’s adventures while savoring a single malt or vintage port. Or gather ‘round the gaming table to see if you can beat your buddies at poker. How you choose to relax on your Nebraska waterfowl hunting or big game hunting trip is up to you.

You will enjoy the handpicked luxuries each of the guest rooms has to offer. You might select one of the 12 Gauge Suites, just a short walk or shuttle ride from the Lodge. Five suites with private bathrooms and four additional double rooms can accommodate up to 15 guests. Each room features handcrafted Amish furniture and luxurious bedding. You will enjoy hunting and western-themed artwork from local, regional and national artists.

Pro Shop:

Appreciating that the weather for hunting in Nebraska can quickly change, the Pro Shop carries fine apparel from Beretta and Eddie Bauer, along with gloves, hand warmers and other items for duck hunting, wing shooting and deer hunting enthusiasts. The Pro Shop also has a collection of custom, handcrafted jewelry.

Guests  can enjoy using the Beretta A400 Xtreme 12 gauge shotguns while on their waterfowl hunt at no additional cost.  Shells are also provided for your hunt.  They make sure you have plenty of firepower to bring down those big North Platte River Mallards and greater Canada geese.

How do I get to the lodge?
Just east of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the lodge is approximately a three-hour drive from Denver International Airport. Guests flying into Western Nebraska Regional Airport by commercial flights, private aircraft or corporate jet are greeted at the airport by a member of the staff, and in about 15 minutes are at the lodge looking forward to waking up to a phenomenal duck hunting or deer hunting experience.
