Overview of Namibia Hunting Safari

Your Namibia hunting safari begins with your professional hunter greeting you as you arrive in Windhoek, Namibia.  A little over two hours from the airport waits 50,000 acres of private hunting land in one block.  Home to over 30 species including leopard and numerous plains game animals.  The lodge has been recently remodeled.  Your Namibia hunting safari hosts are well known for their amazing hospitality and exceptional hunting skill.

Hunting is not just about getting the trophy one wants but rather an overall experience – from the second the booking is made to the day your trophies arrive at your home and everything in between, and we truly want to ensure that you receive the best possible service.  This is a memorable hunting safari sure to please the most discerning hunter whether a veteran hunter or a first time safari traveler.

Enjoy exceptional hunting grounds with plentiful amounts of game and great trophy expectations.  At the same time experience very comfortable accommodations, energetic, personable and excited professional hunters, as well as a large fleet of late model vehicles.

Every safari is unique and personalized according to the your specific needs and requirements. No request is impossible and we are proud of their long list of return clientele that bares testimony to their success.

We are passionate about our wildlife and our industry; therefore we want to share these experiences with you. If you are a species collector, big game hunter or taking the family on a hunting holiday, we can guarantee you the opportunity to hunt what you are after whilst having the adventure of a lifetime. Once you have visited Africa’s wilderness, you will find it difficult to resist going back.

Antlers & Anglers Worldwide has personally visited over 90 safari lodges and only a few have passed our stringent criteria.  During our visit to this safari operation, we found the professional hunters to be passionate and anxious to provide the best possible experience for their hunters.  One thing is for sure, you will laugh a lot and hear many exciting stories around the fire pit.  Their passion is contagious and their love of having a great time will ensure that you will long to return.  For children, the atmosphere is one of adventure and constant new experiences.

Fishing

Deep sea fishing can be arranged as a fun activity to add onto any safari!

Hunting

Your classic spot and stalk safari will be conducted in an ethical manner with mature animals as the goal of every hunt.  Most amazingly, you and/or your group will enjoy these properties exclusively during your safari!  No other guests or hunters will be on the property or at the lodge during your stay unless you request differently.

Hunters typically depart from the lodge as it begins to break first light in the morning and in most cases will return to the lodge for lunch before heading back out in the afternoon.  This is one of the largest plains game concessions in Africa making it a truly wild hunt.

Your experienced professional hunters will cater to your schedule and desires.  It is not uncommon to see hundreds of game each and every day on safari.

Children on safari need not worry!  These professional hunters are accustomed to patiently teaching children of all ages safety, proper shooting techniques, stalking techniques and ethical standards of hunting.  There is no better place in the world to learn to hunt or hone in your hunting skills than in Africa!

Excellent rifles are available for use in case you choose to forego traveling with guns.  Youth models in various calibers are available as well.

Bow Hunting:  Best time – September/October

Numerous hides and blinds are located on the main camp property for bow hunters.  A typical shot would be 20-25 yards from a blind.  Spot and stalk bow hunting for the accomplished bow hunter is also available.

You will be accompanied by a bow hunting professional hunter.

PH’s (Professional Hunters) and Vehicles:

A qualified and experienced Namibian Professional Hunter will accompany you on your hunt at all times, and may do so with a maximum of two hunting clients per P.H. at a time. Every client returns raving over their PH at this location. They are knowledgeable and full of fantastic stories!

All vehicles are purchased new every three years!

Lodging

The Lodge:  Malaria Free property

This game ranch covers approximately 50,000 acres and is home to more than 30 species of game. Species resident here includes leopard, waterbuck, greater kudu, Cape eland, common impala, giraffe, blue and black wildebeest, Hartman zebra, oryx, hartebeest, steenbuck, warthog, klipspringer, duiker, sable and brown hyena to mention a few. We subscribe to the principle of fair chase and this is truly paradise for the plains game hunter.

The lovely Burg Gesinde is an exclusive lodge boasting with 4 en-suite rooms. The farmhouse, situated on a hill, still has the nostalgic historical style of the early 20th century. After a long day’s hunting, one can come back to enjoy the wellness of the infinity pool overlooking the wonderful panoramic views, which lasts up to 150km all the way to the popular Omataku-Mountains on the horizon. And as it gets colder in the evenings, one can get comfortable on the snug sofas in front of the huge fireplace with a nightcap while being entertained by the interesting stories of your guide.

An infinity pool overlooks the lovely land.

The port of entry is through Hosea Kutako International Airport from where it is about 2.5 hour’s drive

Community Service

Africa is our home and our heritage. We acknowledge the fact that it is our duty as safari operators to uplift, support and preserve not only the area in which we operate, but also to act as custodians and ambassadors on behalf of the hunting community worldwide. We believe that through well-regulated and sustainable hunting practices we can contribute to Africa’s socio-economic development and growth, and in turn create a more favourable environment for investors, traders and travellers to visit and generate revenue. Therefore, we join hands with other operators, hunting associations and pro-hunting organisations to cultivate a constructive worldwide industry that ultimately influences Africa, its people and its wildlife positively.

Furthermore, we conserve our wildlife through:

  • working cooperatively on all levels with National Parks boards, conservation bodies, wildlife researchers and environmental departments on conservation issues;
  • training, managing and supplying anti-poaching units with the latest equipment to protect our endangered and other indigenous species;
  • providing aircrafts and/or helicopters to assist with anti-poaching aerial surveys;
  • developing and executing fire management programs;
  • game counting and setting of sustainable hunting quotas in cooperation with governing bodies; and
  • implementing additional hunting protocols above and beyond the legal scope in order to ensure the long term sustainability and longevity of the areas concerned
