Kansas Whitetail Hunt and Turkey Central
FREE RANGE! With well over 100 different stand locations, this Kansas whitetail hunt outfitter will guide you to an exciting free range hunt on over 20,000 private acres in central Kansas. Kansas is one of the top producing states for trophy whitetail in the country. The state’s #2 non-typical archery buck (257 B&C) was taken with this outfitter. Prime agricultural land for corn, milo, soy beans and alfalfa makes up about 80-90 % of the hunting property. The remaining land is thin, hardwood travel corridors. A very small area is in the sand hills. There is a strict 130 B&C minimum for all harvested bucks. There is a fine for shooting smaller bucks.
Limited hunting pressure is key at this lodges success. In fact, they are so dedicated to low pressure hunting that they do not book hunts for the entire season, only selected dates and limited number of guests. It is not uncommon for a guest to be the first to sit in a blind location even late in the season. This is a fantastic opportunity for a trophy Kansas whitetail hunt!

Bow hunts are 2×1 semi-guided, meaning a guide will drop you off at a stand and pick you up but he will not sit with you. Bow hunters will hunt from ladder stands, lock-ons or ground blinds. The October hunt is pre-rut where the deer are more patterned so you have a better chance at taking a nice buck. The November hunts are during the rut so all bets are off but the big ones are on the run! No patterned bucks this time of year! There are 12 hunters per week.
The two week rifle season in December is usually during the secondary rut. The worse the weather the better the hunt seems to be is the rule. Most of the hunting is over large agricultural fields from tower stands with the possibility of 300-400 yard shots. Gun hunters will have a guide sit with them in a blind for one of the two hunts of the day. It is possible to hunt from ladder stands, lock-ons or ground blinds as well. They do not allow any stalk hunting. There are 10 hunters per week.
Big bucks roam this part of Kansas! Our clients have seen them and taken them but this is still a fair chase hunt so there is no guarantee. Antlers & Anglers Worldwide believes this outfitter is the most committed to setting up the “perfect stand” that we have witnessed. They will do everything in their power to give you a successful hunt. After all, it’s in their best interest for you to shoot a monster!
Kansas is a straight lottery draw for non-resident tags beginning with the 2008 season. The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks guaranteed the state legislature there would be tags for everyone. Based on this information our outfitter feels you should get a tag. If not, you may have a 100% refund or rebook for the next year.
All hunters must have a hunter safety card if they are born after January 1, 1957. Cards from all states are valid.
Hunting units are primarily 4, 5, and 6.

Great numbers of birds! 100% guaranteed opportunity. If you don’t have an opportunity this outfitter will let you return free the next year! The flocks of birds can be 100-150 or more.
The hunt is 2×1 semi-guided where the guide sits with you half the day. If you are seasoned hunter and you would prefer to call and go chase them yourself, you are welcome to do so. TRAVEL INSURANCE: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

While we do everything in our power to protect our clients from travel problems, we cannot prevent illness, natural disasters, wars, deaths, lodge closings and more; we live in uncertain times! The only way to protect yourself and your investment is through travel insurance. Travel insurance can provide medical coverage, cancellation due to natural disaster, illness, death in the family, lodge closings and other unknowns; in this day and time, anything is possible. Lodges count on you to protect your investment as they cannot refund your payments due to the nature of the product they offer.
Finally, travel insurance is time-sensitive and must be purchased within a certain number of days of your deposit to cover preexisting conditions, lodge closings and other various issues. It is still available later but the benefits may be more limited.
Both companies offer evacuation insurance in addition to their travel insurance but Ripcord has more thorough coverage in this area.
The Ripcord membership and travel Insurance provides the highest levels of medical, security, evacuation and rescue services in the industry combined with travel insurance:
- Remote rescue services from point of injury or illness

… top notch outfitter that gives a hunter a family friendly atmosphere. They worked hard getting me in the right place to have an opportunity at a trophy buck. I highly recommend this lodge if you like to hunt hard and with good people. I’ve been on two rifle hunts and I’m bringing my daughter back in 2013 for the youth hunt.
I have hunted with this outfitter on multiple occasions. Whenever my schedule allows you will find me in one of their camps during that majestic November rut. The knowledge that these men have when it comes to not only locating, but killing mature whitetail is as good as it gets; BAR NONE! I can say that these boys honestly love what they do and it shows in the time that they spend preparing and planning for us to arrive in camp, so we can experience that hunt of a lifetime. I have the opportunity to hunt just about anywhere, but I choose this outfitter because of the comradery in camp, the effort put forth before I arrive, and the chance to hunt some of the largest whitetail on the planet!

I am fortunate to have had opportunities to hunt and fish throughout the US, as well as in Canada, the UK and South America. My experiences with turkey, dove and duck hunting here are at the top of the list. Their passion for a high quality, ethical and safe hunt keeps me coming back. I also appreciate their flexibility for tailoring the hunt to the skills and desires of the hunting party. Novices and youth get all of the support and attention they need for a great experience, and experienced hunters are allowed to utilize as much, or as little, of their own skills as they desire. ..
…as good as it gets. Not only do these guys know their property and know the deer habits, but their attention to detail in so many ways is incredible… I have never been in a single stand that didn’t have excellent lanes, great travel placement or a SINGLE wiggle or squeak. These guys are great, their properties are great and it is a fantastic hunt.
This outfitter runs a first class operation. All of their farms are setup great! If you like hunting trophy whitetails then you can’t find a better group to go with.
I don’t know of any better hunters nor do I know of any outfitters that are more interested in getting their hunters great experiences. I think these guys would rather see their hunter get a great deer than kill it themselves. The ultimate compliment!
I’ve hunted archery whitetail with this outfitter for five years with my Dad and other family members. My experiences have been great. They have good properties; good setups and they work hard to give you the best chance at a successful hunt. They are very knowledgeable at what they do and always accommodate all your needs. They treat you like family and I would recommend hunting with them to anyone.
This past Spring I had the good fortune to return to Southeast Kansas to turkey hunt. This coming season will be my third in Kansas and I now know that I have been introduced to one of the premier places in the country. I am from Northwest Arkansas and have hunted turkeys since the early 70’s. Never have I experienced the sheer number of birds and gobbling like I’ve witnessed while hunting with this outfitter. He runs a first class outfitting service and I will return this year with my son. He is as addicted to turkey hunting as I am and I want him to also experience what the best has to offer!
…. the type of outfitter a true trophy whitetail hunter is looking for, their always attentive to details of the hunt even the smallest ones.
